Politician ?

Politician,,,if you ask 10 people on the street what is a politician, I'm not sure you could publish the exact words most of them used. So, I went home and got out my Readers Digest Great Encyclopedia Dictionary to see what was published there.
Here is what it stated,,,,Politician---1. One who is engaged in politics, especially professionally.
2--One who engages in politics for personal or partisan aims rather than for reasons of principal. Now the second one struck a raw nerve with me.

The names and faces may change but it seems there is a common thread with most who practice politics today,,,tell them what you must to get elected and then press on with their real agenda. I have become a fan of a new TV show called, "Lie to me". It is based on reading body language to distinguish the truthfulness of a subject talking. I have also witnessed this same investigative technique employed in other situations and it is very accurate and quite revealing!
Wouldn't it be interesting to employ this in all levels of government! Start locally with city, county, then move on to state and federal.
It would be quite interesting and revealing to know just how much we are lied to!! But that's just my point of view.

Random wanderings

What to post on my very first posting,,,what earth changing thoughts run around inside my noggin? Probably very few, sometimes I try not to think and that seems harder than just pondering a thought here and there.
Maybe,,,no is what is most likely wrong with many of us is we don't want to have to think. We have become what we most often think about,,,NOTHING! But that is just my point of view.
